The Lagan Festival was founded in 2011 by a small group of speech and drama teachers who recognized a need for a new festival to create a fresh atmosphere of friendly competition alongside constructive criticism.  Our art section has been an integral part of the festival since it’s inception, and with our music section beginning  a couple of years later, The Lagan Festival of Speech, Drama, Music & Art, was complete.  For the 2026 festival we are delighted to welcome you to our website and online entry system, and we hope to keep you up to date with all our news and developments on this site!.
